Our Story & Leadership

Wallace Brooks & Associates was founded to bring clarity, compassion, and ethical guidance to those seeking support for an aging adult. From the beginning, our practice has been grounded in the belief that expert care management should honor each individual’s dignity, identity, and life story. 

We operate collaboratively, bridging gaps between medical, legal, social, and community systems so aging adults and those responsible for their well-being never have to navigate them alone.

Sharon Brooks

Sharon Brooks

Founder & President, Professional Guardian, Aging Life Care Manager®
Sharon Wallace Brooks is a seasoned health and human services professional with more than thirty-five years of experience spanning pharmaceuticals, behavioral health, and public and private health plans. With an undergrad in Biology and graduate degrees in both Social Work and Health Administration, she blends clinical insight with systems-level strategy to guide individuals and families through complex care needs.

Sharon is known for her collaborative, strengths-based approach and her ability to identify health gaps, navigate resources, and develop cost-effective, client-centered care plans. She specializes in supporting older adults, individuals with major mental illness, and families facing challenging dynamics, always with a focus on maximizing functional potential and quality of life.

Karen Adler

Aging Life Care Manager®
Karen joined Wallace Brooks & Associates in 2019, bringing a lifelong devotion to serving and advocating for older adults and their families. Her professional background spans Wall Street, financial consulting, budgeting, compensation, and managing a therapy practice, giving her exceptional communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills.

Drawn to end-of-life support and the sanctity of later-life care, Karen spent many years as a hospice volunteer before earning a Professional Certificate in Gerontology in 2014. She went on to work in senior living development and operations before transitioning into Aging Life Care Management, where she feels privileged to walk alongside clients and families during important decisions and care transitions.

Karen is known for her ability to build trust, honor client values and traditions, and foster cohesive relationships—even in complex family situations. She is deeply committed to ensuring that each client’s care reflects their wishes, beliefs, and individuality.

Kelsey Morren, MS 

Aging Life Care Manager®
Kelsey Morren is a dedicated eldercare professional since 2009, with experience supporting older adults and their families. With a master’s degree in Applied Gerontology and specialized training in dementia care, she brings deep expertise, compassion, and respect to every client she serves.

As a Care Manager, Kelsey helps clients navigate long-term care options, understand cognitive changes, and work through complex family dynamics. Her commitment to dignity, quality of life, and personalized guidance makes her a trusted advocate for seniors and their loved ones.

In her role as a Professional Guardian, Kelsey advocates for her clients by assisting with benefits, placement options, hospital and long-term care navigation, and educating clients and families about available resources.

Angie Deokar

MPH, BCPA
Aging Life Care Manager®
Angie Deokar brings nearly 20 years of experience in public health at the federal and state levels, along with hands-on experience in aging and disability services and dementia support through local and nonprofit organizations. Her background gives her a deep understanding of how health and aging systems work, helping clients and families navigate complex care decisions with confidence.

She holds a Master of Public Health (MPH), a Graduate Certificate in Gerontology, and a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with a minor in Gerontology, and is a Board Certified Patient Advocate. Angie takes a person-centered approach to care, getting to know each client’s wishes and blending compassion with practical problem-solving to advocate for care that truly fits. She is a lifelong learner who stays up to date on best practices and emerging resources to ensure her clients receive informed, high-quality support.
